New ONVIF Conformant 200 Series IP Dome Cameras

We've added two IP dome cameras to the 200 Series. The NDC-255-P features
a 2.8 - 10 mm varifocal lens, and the NDC-225-P includes a 4.0 mm fixed lens. The cameras are ideal for small offices, retail shops, convenience stores, and classrooms.

The 200 Series IP cameras, now including four models, are easy to install and operate. Each camera comes with a SD flash memory card for storing days of recorded video without a connected PC. No technical expertise is required to set-up the cameras. You just insert the SD card, plug in the camera with a single cable, and viewing and recording starts immediately.

This all-in-one surveillance series can also be easily extended by connecting a video recorder, such as the Bosch Divar 700 Series, or an iSCSI server. H.264 image compression reduces the requirements for storage by up to 50% compared to traditional surveillance technology.

The progressive scan cameras provide professional surveillance with sharp, clear color images – even when objects are in motion. The cameras’ bundled software enables remote viewing, allowing recorded video from multiple cameras to play back on a single PC monitor. The software also makes it easy to archive video and locate specific events quickly using its smart search facility.

In addition, the IP Camera 200 Series features built-in motion, tamper and audio detection that can trigger an action, such as setting off an alarm or increasing recording quality to capture more details in a scene. The two-way audio capability also allows operators to communicate with visitors, employees or intruders via the camera.

Fully compliant with the latest ONVIF standard, the IP Camera 200 Series offers compatibility with other ONVIF surveillance products.

TCP/IP Communications Module for AutoDome

A new TCP/IP Communications Module for the AutoDome Camera System delivers H.264 Main Profile compression, powerful Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) and alarm handling, and compliance with ONVIF.

The AutoDome Modular uses a platform of interchangeable components for cost-effectively migrating to advanced functionality without replacing the entire camera system. You can add the new TCP/IP Communications Module to any existing AutoDome Modular camera.

This TCP/IP Communications Module uses H.264 compression for DVD-quality video that requires up to 50% less storage space than MPEG4-compressed video, depending on scene and quality settings. With tri-streaming, the module can simultaneously generate two independent H.264 streams with up to 4CIF resolution at 25/30 (PAL/NTSC), images per second, as well as one JPEG stream for viewing on a hand-held device. You can select a low latency H.264 Baseline Profile stream for live viewing and pan-tilt-zoom control, while using a H.264 Main Profile stream for recording high-quality images with maximum compression. With built-in iSCSI support, the cameras can stream compressed video directly to an iSCSI RAID array for storage.

In addition to tri-streaming, the TCP/IP Communications Module's powerful processor can concurrently run Bosch's full-featured IVA software without compromising performance. With IVA, AutoDome Modular cameras process video signals and automatically alert operators to potential security risks. One AutoDome Modular pan-tilt-zoom camera can analyze up to 10 different scenes for loitering, line crossing and other potential threats using a single IVA license - providing a low cost for advanced video analytics.

Sophisticated alarm control allows flexible management of alerts from AutoDome Modular cameras. Rules-based logic enables alarms to trigger a wide range of actions, including complex dome functions. With the new TCP/IP Communications Module, the AutoDome Modular's alarm handling is extended even further with the ability to send notifications via e-mail.

The TCP/IP Communications Module also provides support for the ONVIF standard to ensure AutoDome Modular Cameras will integrate seamlessly with compliant networked video products from different vendors. This provides greater freedom in specifying a system.

AutoDome Modular cameras are offered in four models, ranging from a basic level fixed-position dome to the full-featured 500i-Series Intelligent Pan-Tilt-Zoom Camera. AutoDome cameras equipped with the new module deliver hybrid operation with both Ethernet and analog connections for supporting existing equipment.

New H.264 IP Cameras

We have launched 40 fixed body Dinion and FlexiDome H.264 main profile IP cameras. The series includes advanced models designed for harsh lighting conditions as well as standard IP cameras suited for well-lit applications. The entire portfolio of new progressive scan cameras captures clear, sharp images and delivers excellent color reproduction.

Each camera features advanced H.264 main profile video compression for broadcast-quality video that requires up to 50% less storage space, depending on scene and quality settings. Every detail in the image is captured without compromising frame rates – an important feature for recognizing objects, such as a person’s face.

Built-in IVA, available as a licensable option, alerts to suspicious activity, such as loitering or perimeter breaches, for earlier threat detection. Forensic Search quickly locates events in recorded video.

Support for the ONVIF standard ensures the new FlexiDome and Dinion IP cameras integrate seamlessly with compliant video products from different vendors.

New Series Includes 2X-Dynamic Technology
The NBN-498 and NDN-498 series of the fixed body and dome IP cameras feature our 2X-Dynamic Technology with 20-bit processing – twice the power of conventional cameras.

The cameras use 2X-Dynamic and wide dynamic range sensors to analyze images pixel-by-pixel and produce the most detailed view of scenes with difficult lighting. The cameras reveal more than is visible with the human eye alone, making them ideal for day/night surveillance or applications where the most detailed images are required.

2X cameras also feature Smart Backlight Compensation (BLC) to optimize light levels for objects of interest in scenes with a bright background. Smart BLC automatically analyzes images and enhances details to provide the best result.

With the addition of the 40 new FlexiDome and Dinion series products, we now offer IP cameras to cover every area of your facility – regardless of lighting or environmental conditions. Our IP cameras are well-suited for a wide variety of applications, including outdoor perimeters, traffic monitoring, correctional facilities, parking lots and garages, casinos, and industrial and critical infrastructure facilities.

VoIP-based Alarm Communications

We've introduced a new release of our central station receiver software that improves the processing of alarm signals modified by VoIP or digital phone networks. The software's digital signal processing technology enhances the performance of receivers when interpreting these signals by more than 75%.

The new software improves the ability of the Conettix D6600 and D6100i Communications Receivers to interpret control panel signals even if they do not meet the formatting requirements of the communications protocol. The receiver software analyzes the alarm signals to decode those that have been modified by VoIP or digital phone networks.

This software update will help compensate for changes in phone circuits without having to modify or replace system hardware.

You can download version 1.35 of the Conettix D6200 central station receiver software free of charge from our website -
