Integrate Transaction Data and Video Recordings for Improved Security of Retail and Banking Applications

The ATM/POS Bridge enables you to integrate financial transaction data with our digital recorders. The Bridge links data from automated teller
machines or point of sale equipment, such as cash registers, to specific
surveillance images, helping to more quickly locate video of important transactions. The new device allows you to easily integrate our digital recorders into a wide range of critical banking and retail applications.

With the ATM/POS Bridge, equipment that generates ASCII data streams – such as barcode readers and access control devices – can now deliver the streams to a digital recorder or IP video management system. This integration allows you to quickly locate video recordings by intelligent search of the ASCII data.

The ATM/POS Bridge is simple to install. It communicates with digital
recorders and IP video management systems via a standard Ethernet connection, and a PC utility automatically detects the Bridge on the network. Each Bridge accepts up to four ATM/POS or other ASCII-type devices via RS-232, RS-485, or Ethernet connections and can be configured from any PC with a browser.

Supported digital recorders include the Divar 700 Series and DiBos digital
recorders, as well as the Recording Station and the Video Management
System IP software solutions from Bosch.

New High Definition Video Portfolio

We're launching an HD video portfolio complete with fixed and pan-tilt-zoom cameras, video management software, storage solutions, and monitors. This new portfolio takes image quality to the next level. With Bosch HD video from scene to screen, you can distinguish small features that are important for facial recognition and similar applications.

Our HD cameras – including the AutoDome pan-tilt-zoom family, the Dinion and FlexiDome series of day/night fixed cameras, and the IP Camera 200 Series for small businesses – provide 720p or 1080p resolution and offer Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) software to automatically process video signals and alert operators to potential security risks. The higher pixel densities captured by the HD cameras enables optimized performance of IVA with improved detection for loitering, line crossing and other potential threats.

Our intuitive software offerings allow security personnel to manage both HD and standard definition appliances seamlessly in the same system, providing ease of use for operators and allowing integrators to choose the appropriate imaging solution for each location in an application. For small systems, Bosch Video Client is provided free for up to 16 cameras and can be expanded to up to 64 channels with add-on licenses. The Bosch Video Management System is a comprehensive solution for large demanding deployments that integrates, manages and simplifies all surveillance functions and operations.

Our scalable recording solutions allow you to easily extend your security systems to support HD, keeping initial investment costs down and allowing for further expansion. You can add the Bosch Recording Station to simultaneously support HD and SD video sources. Video Recording Manager allows video to be sent directly to an iSCSI storage array without any intervening hardware or software. H.264 Main Profile compression reduces storage consumption by up to 50%, compared with MPEG-4, while ensuring every detail in the image is captured without any compromise in frame rate.

For viewing video, our professional HD LCD monitors automatically adapt to the input resolution of the incoming video signal, provide full HD resolution and support a 16:9 image format for improved situational awareness.

Day/Night Surveillance Solution for Small Office and Retail Environments

We've added a day/night IP camera with integrated infrared illumination to our IP Camera 200 Series. The IP Dome 225 IR is a cost-effective solution that brings Bosch high performance day/night technology into the realm of small businesses.

With excellent image quality and accurate color reproduction, the new progressive scan camera keeps moving objects sharply in focus. The built-in active infrared illuminator activates automatically when the scene is dark for effective night vision.

The IP Dome 225 IR is a complete network video surveillance system in a compact, discreet, indoor dome. Plug in the IP Dome 225 IR camera and video can be recorded immediately using the included Secure Digital (SD) flash memory card. No additional equipment is required. You can also easily extend storage capabilities by connecting a video recorder, such as the Bosch Divar 700 Series, or an iSCSI server. The camera offers efficient H.264 image compression to reduce the requirements for storage by up to 30% compared to traditional surveillance technology, an important cost-saving feature.

The included Bosch Video Client software allows you to remotely view recorded video from up to 16 day/night, high definition or standard definition color cameras on a single PC monitor. The software makes it easy to display camera streams, archive video and locate specific events quickly using its Smart Search feature.

The camera provides built-in motion, tamper and audio detection that can trigger an action, such as setting off an alarm or increasing recording quality to capture more details in a scene. The two-way audio capability allows you to communicate with visitors, employees or intruders via the camera.

Fully conformant with the ONVIF standard, the 200 Series infrared camera offers compatibility with other ONVIF surveillance products. This helps save on future upgrade or migration costs.
