Automated Target Tracking for AutoDome 800 HD PTZ Cameras

Firmware version 5.52 for the AutoDome 800 Series HD Pan-Tilt-Zoom Cameras adds the new Intelligent Tracking feature to the 2 MP dome. Intelligent Tracking uses AutoDome’s built-in Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) to constantly monitor scenes for motion and automatically track objects moving within the camera range.

Use Bosch IVA to stipulate conditions that will instantly activate tracking—such as a vehicle moving through an area in a specific direction. You can also trigger tracking of objects by clicking on a moving target within live video to prompt the camera to keep it in the scene with pan, tilt, and zoom actions. The camera will resume tracking a target after it passes behind a privacy mask or if it is temporarily concealed by a stationary object. AutoDome continuously tracks the target when it reappears or if motion is detected along the same trajectory.

Combining Intelligent Tracking with the greater pixel density and 20x zoom delivered by the 2 MP / 1080p HD cameras ensures targets’ activities are not missed and important identifying characteristics—such as facial characteristics and license plate numbers—are captured, even from great distances. As a result, AutoDome 800 Series HD PTZ Cameras equipped with Intelligent Tracking are a major asset to overall surveillance, supporting security personnel with a powerful automated monitoring system.

In addition to AutoDome 800 Series HD Cameras, Intelligent Tracking is featured on AutoDome 700 Series IP Cameras—giving customers who require automated tracking the option to choose standard definition or megapixel surveillance.

G Series Part of General Dynamics’ Global Security Operations Center Solution

The G Series Control Panel will be included in General Dynamics Information Technology’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) solution and Integration Lab.  The GSOC solution integrates multiple, third-party security technologies to provide a cost effective and scalable security solution that allows you to monitor and protect people, property and assets using fewer resources. GSOC provides a common operating picture, enabling coordinated responses to events, and sharing of business and risk intelligence.

In addition, two GSOC Integration Labs bring all the GSOC elements together to provide a staging ground for use in strategic security planning and infrastructure design.

The G Series Control Panel will provide intrusion and fire detection as part of the GSOC solution. The panel’s integrated and scalable design allows it to meet the needs of virtually any facility configuration. Dual, simultaneous wired IP and cellular communications address a wide variety of requirements and helps to reduce costs. And, with the support of DNS for remote programming and central station communication—an industry first—GV4 simplifies IP alarm communication and helps automate disaster recovery.
