New IP Power Supplies for MIC Series 550 and 612 Ruggedized PTZs

Transform these MIC Series models into network surveillance cameras!

The MIC IP Power Supplies are designed with a complete IP system concept. A MIC Series 550 or MIC Series 612 camera, when connected to an IP Power Supply, streams IP video to the network and offers advanced system features, including edge recording, Intelligent Video Analysis for up to 10 preset positions, and more. They also provide the option for Ethernet fiber optic transmission.

With the new PSUs, customers can record video on SD or SDHC cards for up to 32 gigabytes of local storage or on network-attached RAID iSCSI storage devices. Built-in iSCSI support allows the MIC Series cameras with IP Power Supplies to act as conventional DVRs while streaming high-performance live video across the network. H.264 encoding provides high-resolution images at low bit rates, and dual-streaming allows viewing and recording at different quality levels to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements.

The power supplies enable the MIC Series cameras to be operated simultaneously over IP or analog via Bosch’s Bilinx communication technology over the coaxial video cable. Video can be viewed using a Web browser, Bosch Video Client software, the Bosch Video Management System, or with third-party software including ONVIF conformant platforms.

The PSUs also enable MIC Series cameras to operate using Intelligent Video Analysis and automatically alert customers to potential security risks. Each MIC Series camera with an IP Power Supply can be programmed to detect loitering, line crossing and other potential threats for up to 10 preposition scenes—providing reliable tracking, analysis and advanced search capabilities.

Designed for easy installation and durability, the PSUs include an IP67-rated enclosure and operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to +140 degrees Fahrenheit for standard models, and -40 to +122 degrees Fahrenheit for infrared illuminator capable models. Like the complete camera series, MIC IP Power Supplies are built to survive harsh environments and have a high tolerance for shock and vibration.

MIC IP Power Supplies come in a range of input voltages. They are ideal for MIC Series installations in city centers, at critical infrastructure sites and in transportation applications.

New Cameras and Monitors for the Advantage Line

Three compact outdoor dome cameras feature a 960H sensor to deliver 650 TVL resolution—the highest image quality available for analog devices

Wide dynamic range cameras
The VDC-242 is an electronic day/night camera that is ideal for applications where there are drastic lighting changes. The VDN-244 is a true day/night camera that automatically switches from color to monochrome in low light. It is suited for storefronts, restaurants and office buildings with large windows and direct sunlight. The VDI-244 true day/night infrared (IR) dome has 18 integrated IR LEDs that provide 65 feet (20 meters) of night vision. It is a fit for areas with variable lighting or where the camera is pointed into direct sunlight.

The cameras are easy to install and can be adjusted around three axes. Each dome features a weather-proof rating of IP66 and a vandal-resistant metal housing with an IK8 impact rating. Optional heaters ensure reliable video surveillance even in arctic applications.

LED Monitors
The new LED monitors offer high definition resolution up to 1080p and precise color reproduction. They are ideal for use with analog video, digital recorders and with IP applications. The monitors offer a wide range of horizontal and vertical angles for comfortable, clear viewing—whether placed on a desktop, or mounted to a wall or ceiling. The UML-193-90 is a 19-inch monitor, and the UML-223-90 is a 22-inch monitor.

Specifically designed for small applications, Advantage Line products are affordable and easy to maintain and operate. New B Series Control Panels

The panels are modern Internet appliances for security applications designed to simplify installation and increase profits for dealers and integrators.

A flexible family of control panels, the B Series includes two models that meet the needs of a wide variety of facility configurations. The B5512 supports 48 points of protection and four areas, while the B4512 monitors 28 points of protection and two areas. The series is ideal for retail stores, banks, office buildings, government locations, schools, and many other commercial and residential applications.

The B Series Control Panels feature built-in IP communication capability to speed installation and decrease costs for dealers and end users.  Domain Name System (DNS) support for remote access and central station communications provides simple IP set up from the installer keypad menu or via Bosch’s Remote Programming Software (RPS)—without complicated programming tools.

Built to be future-proof, the B Series are the first intrusion control panels to support both IPv4 and IPv6. They also feature multiple interfaces with on-board Ethernet and USB connections and offer simple plug-in communication modules for easy adoption of new technologies.

Cellular text message notifications of events and the Remote Security Control app for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch provide convenient monitoring and operating tools. Remote Security Control allows system arming and disarming and management of connected outputs.

B Series Control Panels can also be easily programmed to carry out multiple functions with a single keypad command or with the push of a wireless keyfob button. These custom functions enable security dealers to tailor the system to their customers’ specific needs, while providing simple operation. In addition, scheduled events allow for the system to be automatically armed and disarmed at pre-determined times or to perform other functions based on an internal clock and calendar.

Remote programming with advanced diagnostic capabilities reduces costs by allowing technicians to service systems or enable or disable certain functions without traveling to the customer’s facility. Flash firmware updates can also be accomplished locally or remotely with RPS, providing easy maintenance or feature enhancements for the panels.

The panel supports a wide range of Bosch peripherals, including the soon-to-be-released RADION series of wireless devices. For more information on B Series, visit www.boschsecurity.us/bseries.
